I am a photography buff, and I like spending my money buying equipment to support my art. However, it is more like a hobby than a profession. Therefore, I avoid purchasing expensive equipment to practice my skills. In this article, I will be sharing a list of inexpensive gears that you can buy to support your photography endeavours.
Before we jump on to the list of equipment that you can buy, let us first understand the need for using them. The photography gears and accessories mainly help us in achieving the desired outcome. For example, to shoot a light trail, the camera needs to be stable, which can be achieved using a tripod. So here’s a list of inexpensive gears that you can buy to support your photography.
Tripod Stand
A tripod is a versatile gear for your camera because it helps to maintain stability. Moreover, it allows you to click all kinds of pictures, from a long exposure shot to fast-moving objects. Whether you’re a phone photographer or use a DSLR, a tripod is a must-have for both. The price can range from 200 INR to 1,00,000 INR. But here are two of my recommendations that are inexpensive and have decent portability.
For mobile photographers, I would recommend SLOVIC Gorilla Tripod 10 Inch with Mobile Holder & Bluetooth Remote.
For DSLR users I would recommend buying a more sturdy tripod that can take its weight like the AmazonBasics 50-Inch Lightweight Tripod.
Backdrops
A good backdrop is a must-have if you’re into Product or Food photography as it can make or break a composition. However, try not to go overboard when it comes to buying backdrops. You can either create yourself using paint and chart papers or buy Vinyl backdrops online. I use Saviaura 2 in 1 3D print backdrops with marble and wood printing on it.
Reflectors
Good lighting is what makes a photo stand out. Therefore, consider Reflectors a photographer’s best friend. It can bounce, diffuse, or flag natural and artificial light. You can buy the 5 in 1 Collapsable reflector to create various tones of your composition.
Remote Shutter Release
Great gear to have for your cameras to avoid blurry photos, especially when shooting in the dark. You can either opt for a wired or a wireless remote. However, make sure to check its compatibility with your camera.
For mobile I recommend buying Vomoco MT15 Bluetooth Remote Controller, it is compatible with all devices.
For DSLR users you can buy remote specific to your brand. Here are a few recommendations:
Nikon: Nikon Ml-L3 IR Wireless Camera Remote
Canon: AmazonBasics Wireless Remote Control for Canon
Sony: Generic DSLR Camera IR Wireless Remote Control for Sony
Macro Lens for Mobile
If you want to up your mobile photography game, Skyvik Signi’s 2 in 1 Macro lens is what you need. It is portable, high quality and inexpensive as compared to DSLR lenses. The lens is very light, and you can carry it wherever you want to take a macro or wide-angle shot.
