Things to do in Everett

Visit Funko HQ

funko-hq-everett-washington-guide

Everett is the birthplace of the popular Funko Pop, which you’ll find in almost every millennial’s home. What began as a small project in 1998 by Mike Becker and Claudia Becker to create low-tech, nostalgia-themed toys has since transformed into a million-dollar business. They have a large collection of popular and limited-edition Funko that you can purchase at the store.

The Funko HQ building is in the heart of Downtown Everett, at the corner of California and Wetmore Streets. You can’t miss it, thanks to the giant toys on the building and its catchy, lit-up sign. I’ve wanted to visit this store ever since I first heard about it, and we had the most amazing time exploring the two-story shop. Check out my Everett vlog to get a peek into the world of Funko! And the best part? You can make your own Funko at the store, which I think is very cool.

Explore Port of Everett

Port-of-Everett-washington-guide

The Port of Everett is a bustling waterfront area featuring manicured gardens, waterfront hotels (Inn at Port Gardner), and amazing high-end eateries (Anthony’s HomePort). It’s located just a short walk or bus ride from Downtown Everett and offers miles of stunning waterfront views, boating, and in-water recreation opportunities.

Head to the Port Gardner Bay South View Area for a breathtaking view of the bay and the neighboring islands—Jetty Island and Hat Island. During summer, ferry services run to these islands, where you can enjoy sandy beaches and a variety of beach activities. Keep an eye on the water, as you might spot several beautiful marine creatures, from sea lions to porpoises.

If you love spending time at the beach during summer, head to Jetty Island—just a short 5-minute ferry ride from the Port of Everett—and explore its pristine coastline. The island boasts miles of sandy beaches and is perfect for fun activities like swimming, kayaking, and tide pooling. However, pets and overnight camping are not allowed, making it ideal for a short daytrip. If you’re planning to take the Argosy ferry to the island (available during summer only), be sure to reserve your spot in advance.
