Delhi’s favourite season is back, and so are the winter-special delicacies that might not be available during the summers. From having chai-pakoda on a chilled evening at home to brunching at your favourite restaurant while basking in the sun. Delhi’s winter is all about having good food! Here’s a list of must-have dishes that you can’t miss during the winters in Delhi.

A visit to Old Delhi seems incomplete without a visit to the Karims. One of the oldest food joints at Chandni Chowk, serving lip-smacking Mughlai food. You can smell the rich aromatic spices from a far distance. This restaurant has been on my list for a long time. In the winter of 2018, I finally made a trip to Old Delhi exclusively to eat at the Karims.

This was my second visit to Old Delhi. A bright summer day when my school friends decided to explore the most amazing part of Delhi. The place spilt out history from every inch. It is the only place in the city, where you find the most ordinary things extraordinary…

The walled city also known as Shahjahanabad during the Mughal reign has always attracted me. This place later came to be known as Old Delhi and is simply chaotic. Narrow lanes, hanging wires, old monuments, crowded markets and tasty street food are few things that perfectly describe it.

Last month my friend @sketchesintravel visited Delhi and asked me to show him few interesting places around the city. So, I decided to take him around a short heritage walk through the lanes of Delhi. We started the day early as we had to cover 8 spots which included two food stops. I was meeting everyone at INA metro station which was midway and then, I was to take up the responsibility of driving everyone around for the day from there.
