It’s been more than three years I visited Andaman. However, I still remember every bit of my trip. Blue sky, the smell of the ocean, dancing reefs, sparkling sand, a place no less than paradise.
It all started in 2012 when I watched Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (a travel-based Bollywood film) for the first time. Since that day, I had been waiting for the opportunity until October 2016 when finally I made my first dive.
Not too far from the mainland, lies the most underrated place in South Asia, the Islands of Andamans and Nicobar. A perfect destination for a relaxing vacation. Coral reefs, white sand beaches, teal water and breathtaking view. It is truly a paradise for travellers.
Ross Island now renamed as ‘Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Dweep’ is a tiny island merely 800 metres away from Port Blair. You can see the island from the roof of the Cellular Jail. The entire island can be covered by foot in an hour. However, there is also a provision of battery cars that can take you around the place. A perfect place for photography and history lovers!
Havelock Island is one of the best islands of Andaman. Magnificent white-sand beaches, lush green rain-fed forests, and crystal water make this place a traveller’s paradise. Located 39 km away from Port Blair, Havelock is the most visited island of Andamans.
